Stobie earned a B.S. from the University of Vermont and an M.A. from Cornell University. She has over 10 years experience as an academic director, first for the School for International Training (SIT), and then for the University of Wisconsin, Madison when she directed their study abroad programs in Nepal. She has taught and advised hundreds of students from dozens of colleges, helping them translate their interests into academic success.
Stobie also served for five years as a Fulbright Commission board member. Her experience interviewing applicants and evaluating applications, gives her a keen sense of what makes a strong and memorable application.

Stobie is a member of the
Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the
Maine Counseling Association (MeCA). She is committed to ongoing professional development opportunities with these and other organizations in the field of college admissions counseling. Stobie engages in year-round research and spends significant time visiting college campuses so that she has first-hand knowledge of the schools she recommends.
